How Do I Join?
The
The South Shore Chorale presently has two sessions: one in the Fall from September to December and a Winter/Spring session from January to May. Rehearsals are 7 to 9 pm on Monday evenings at St Paul's Lutheran Church Hall, 25 Phoenix St., Bridgewater. Please call or e-mail the President for information about the first rehearsal date.
New members are accepted during the first three weeks of rehearsals at either of our sessions. Membership dues of $30 per session or $50 per year are required at the end of 3 weeks. These dues help with music purchases, hall rentals, etc. Student dues are $20, and will be reimbursed to the student at the end of the session once music has been returned.
What are qualifications for members?
Singers interested in joining the South Shore Chorale are encouraged to contact and/or meet with the director before attending a first rehearsal. New singers are usually asked to sing a few lines from a known song privately. This helps the director with voicing placements. Please contact the

While the SSC is always delighted to welcome new members, maintaining balance and blend within the choir is a necessity. This may result in fewer openings in certain sections. Choral experience and the ability to read music is an asset, but not necessary.
Singers are required to attend rehearsals on a regular basis.
