Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Join?
The
South Shore Chorale presently has two sessions, one in the Fall from September
to December and a Winter/Spring session from January to May. Rehearsals
are 7 to 9 pm on Monday evenings at St Paul's Lutheran Church Hall, 25
Phoenix St., Bridgewater. Please call or e-mail the President for information
about the first rehearsal date.
New members are accepted during the first three weeks of rehearsals
at either of our sessions. Membership dues of $30 per session
or $50 per year are required at the end of 3 weeks. Student dues are $15.
These dues help with music purchases, hall rentals, etc
What are qualifications for members?
Singers
interested in joining the South Shore Chorale are encouraged to contact
and/or meet with the director before attending a first rehearsal. A short
audition is usually required to check range, pitch, tone, etc. This can
be as simple as singing O Canada or Happy Birthday! Please contact the

to set up an appointment
While the SSC is always delighted to welcome new members, maintaining
balance and blend within the choir is a necessity. This may result in
fewer openings in certain sections. New members should have choral experience
and some ability to read music.
Singers are required to attend rehearsals on a regular basis.
