Hi singers!
We're back in the swing and singing with both familiar voices and new ones for our fall season! With four rehearsals done, we can't accommodate any new singers until our Winter/Spring term but you can certainly let us know right away if you are interested.
Here's everything you need to know to get started.
The Details
Our first rehearsal will be Monday, January , at the Saint Joseph Church Hall (92 Queen Street, Bridgewater).
We are thrilled to continue with our talented Artistic Director, Amelia McMahon, and our wonderful accompanist, Sharon Gow-Knickle.
New Members Welcome!
The South Shore Chorale is a non-auditioned choir, and we welcome anyone who loves to sing (and can sing in tune!). We have a limited number of spots, with priority given to returning members, so please let us know your intentions as soon as possible.
We especially need more basses! If you are a bass or know someone who is, please let them know we have a spot for them.
Rehearsals, Retreat, & Concerts
Rehearsals: We rehearse every Monday from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at St. Joseph Church Hall, with the exception of major holidays.
Choir Retreat: We plan to have our second Choir Retreat in February on a Saturday to leap ahead on our repertoire, build skills, have fun.
Concerts: We plan to have two concerts in the Spring and, possibly, a coffee house event.
Fees & Resources
The fee for the Winter-Spring term will be similar to that for the fall season which was $125 per person. To encourage new, younger voices, we've waived fees for members under 25 and offer a 50% discount for those aged 25-34. If the fee is a barrier for anyone, please contact our Vice President, Jim Houghton, to discuss a payment plan.
For all members, we offer great resources to help you learn and practice the music, including recordings of rehearsals posted on YouTube.
