Background Information:

Originally founded in 1969 as the Bridgewater Oratorio Society, the South Shore Chorale (SSC) is a non-profit community choir based in Lunenburg County. We are an unauditioned choir who are professionally directed by Amelia McMahon and accompanied by Sharon Gow-Knickle. Membership is open to anyone 17 years of age and over who resides on Nova Scotia’s South Shore and does not require an audition to join. The SSC strives to enrich our rural communities by providing creative opportunities to learn and perform choral music from a wide range of musical styles; our repertoire is expansive and includes contemporary Canadian composers, as well as classical, jazz, gospel, and various music styles from around the world. The SSC rehearses September thru May in Bridgewater and holds annual December and May concert series performing in towns and in rural communities along the South Shore. 

We are appreciative of our sponsors who have allowed the South Shore Chorale to be a celebrated community choir that is accessible to Nova Scotians of all experience levels for over half a century of fine music making.

BRONZE $ 150

 SILVER $ 250

The Silver Level of Sponsorship provides the following benefits to our Chorale sponsors:

PLATINUM $ 750 +

The Platinum Level of Sponsorship provides the following benefits to our Chorale sponsors:

➤ opportunity for a sponsor to speak at a concert of the sponsor’s choice.
